FEI - We Don’t Play Olympic Campaign

The International Equestrian Federation briefed Redtorch with one simple task: Be in the top 5 engaged with sports [on social media] at Tokyo 2020.

After receiving insights that Equine sports were seen as elitist and were in need of modernisation, I was tasked to begin looking at visual concepts that would engage and entertain non equine fans without isolating their core audience.

Working alongside Redtorch’s creative director we conceptualised and storyboarded our launch film to be visually exciting, inclusive and appeal to fans beyond equine sports. I then accompanied a production team on site to begin filming and direct.

Over the course of the games we produced over 3000 pieces of individual social content, sent olympians to ebony horse club in brixton to meet future stars. We smashed our 2m engagement target and gained 160,000 new social media followers, achieving 9.7m and 260,000 respectively across the FEI social media channels. We even won won ‘Best Entertainment, Leisure and Travel Campaign’ at the Independent Agency Awards.
